Job Summary
Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Home Lending to solicit residential mortgages, produce high quality loans with strong customer service, and build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, and past customers. The role involves presenting mortgage programs, quoting rates and points, reviewing real estate appraisals and title reports, handling customer applications, and ensuring compliance with SAFÉ loan origination requirements and company policies. The role requires staying informed on mortgage industry trends, understanding underwriting requirements, and actively pursuing training to deepen product knowledge. Candidates should have solid communication skills, experience in sales prospecting and referrals, and the ability to manage financial data to match client needs with appropriate loan programs while maintaining high client satisfaction and proactive communication.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- SAFE registration at the time of employment.
- LO qualification requirements under Regulation Z and related Wells Fargo policies.
- Ability to lift 20+ pounds (as part of job duties).
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness/ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled.
