Job Summary
Maintain effective communication with customers, loan officers, and external agencies to ensure seamless loan application processing. Obtain necessary documentation such as employment verifications, IRS transcripts, and title searches while monitoring credit reports and appraisals for adherence to underwriting guidelines. Immediately notify all parties of irregularities and perform administrative duties including preparing commitment letters, reviewing title documents, and mailing loan suspend notices. Scrutinize loan applications to assess qualification, restructure loans as needed, and identify risk-related issues requiring escalation. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and product guidelines while prioritizing daily workload in a fast-paced mortgage environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or two years equivalent work experience
- Two to three years prior mortgage processing or underwriting experience
- Ability to scrutinize a loan application to assess qualification
- Ability to restructure a loan or recommend solutions
- Empowered to review and accept loan conditions based on underwriter requirements
- Strong analytical/mathematical background
- Ability to function independently within time constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Prioritization of daily workload
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, reliable and dependable
