Mortgage Processing Specialist

Job Summary
Review application files to verify data completeness and meet underwriting requirements. Collaborate with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to request documentation, confirm borrower information, and submit complete loan files for approval. Manage the complex loan pipeline to prioritize workflows and ensure milestone service levels are met. Coordinate with third-party vendors for timely ordering of necessary documentation and services. Navigate customer relationship software, loan operating systems, and third-party websites to obtain required information. Maintain high standards of confidentiality and accuracy while working under frequent interruptions and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in the mortgage loan industry
- Strong knowledge of banking industry practices relative to bank loan operations with respect to mortgage loan products, services, policies, and procedures
- Must have strong computer skills and proficiency with loan industry software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- A high level of initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy
- Solid communication and organizational skills with focus on teamwork
- Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruption
- Ability to balance multiple projects/activities with varying deadlines
- High level of confidentiality
- Work involves lifting and moving loan files of up to 30 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Encompass Software System experience preferred
