Job Summary
Mortgage Originator in Chemung, Steuben & Surrounding Counties – responsible for providing mortgage loan services to clients, interviewing and collecting applications and disclosures, analyzing credit and financial information to make preliminary recommendations for approval/denial, engaging with area realtors and referral sources, participating in seminars/branch meetings, maintaining records, coordinating tasks across departments, and ensuring timely loan approvals/denials while complying with NMLS standards. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent (BS preferred), specialized lending/real estate credit training, at least 3 years of related experience, strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Word/Excel, and ability to travel with valid driver’s license. Salary range shown is hourly ($19-$29) and annualized accordingly; benefits are offered through the employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; BS or BA in a related field of study preferred
- Specialized training in lending and real estate credit servicing
- A minimum of three years experience in related position normally required
- Proficient interpersonal skills in dealing with clients and all levels of management
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel and Valid Driver’s License required
- Salary range provided as hourly with implied annualization (19-29 per hour)
