Job Summary
Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist responsible for administrative processing and compliance duties in the commercial real estate loan portfolio, including onboarding loans, calculating prepayment premiums, reviewing payments, escrow analyses, property inspection reviews, insurance reviews, loss requests, and loan payoff support; acts as primary customer service contact for the portfolio, handling inquiries from borrowers, correspondents, and third-party clients; ensures proper setup of new loans in servicing systems, monitors delinquency and suspense accounts, assists with reporting and audits, and supports year-end processes; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and 2-5 years CRE servicing experience; strong communication, quantitative, and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to analyze amortization schedules and loan documents; collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience with understanding of commercial real estate
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong quantitative and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Team oriented with strong work ethic and time management skills
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and industry terms
- Advanced knowledge of amortization schedules and CRE debt and valuation concepts
- Experience reading and interpreting complex loan documents
- Knowledge of best practices for servicing commercial mortgage loans
- Knowledge of and experience with loan administration and accounting systems
