Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist

Job Summary
Onboard new mortgage loans into the servicing system, audit data accuracy, and verify escrow details for tax, hazard insurance, and PMI policies. Monitor hazard insurance coverage, coordinate policy updates, and process premium disbursements from escrow accounts, including force-placing policies when lapses occur. Post mortgage payments, handle reversals and adjustments, and manage recurring automatic payments. Calculate payoff quotes, validate loan payoffs, and prepare lien release documents to ensure proper loan closure. Maintain professional relations with members and third parties while ensuring compliance with regulations and investor guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- General understanding of mortgage loans and mortgage processes
- General office skills
- General knowledge of computer use
- Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards
- Previous experience with a full-service financial institution
- Varied office experience
- Math and accounting abilities
- Well organized and attentive to detail
- Accuracy and thoroughness in work
- Excellent grammar, communication and telephone skills
