Job Summary
Collect, organize, and verify borrower documentation for mortgage and home equity loans, including income, employment, asset, and credit information. Review loan files for completeness, submit complete files to underwriting, and monitor conditions to obtain required documentation for approval. Manage assigned loan pipelines, coordinate with borrowers and real estate professionals, and order third-party services such as title work and flood certifications. Prepare initial disclosures, maintain electronic records, and finalize loan packages for closing while ensuring compliance with lending regulations and credit union policies. Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., supporting the Mortgage Department's objective of helping members achieve homeownership goals in western North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two to three years of mortgage processing, mortgage lending, consumer lending, or related financial services experience
