Job Summary
Mortgage Loan Processor responsible for reviewing and verifying borrower documents (credit reports, income, assets, tax returns), ordering and reviewing third-party documents (appraisals, title, flood certifications), organizing and managing loan files, coordinating with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, closing departments, and third-party vendors, and ensuring compliant processing to clear conditions and achieve timely closings. Requires knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA loan programs, experience with LOS and mortgage systems, meticulous attention to detail, strong written/verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple loans in a deadline-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or in a related role within the mortgage industry
- Proven track record of managing and closing a high volume of loan files
- Strong understanding of conventional, FHA, VA, and other loan programs
- Proficiency with loan origination software (LOS) and other mortgage-related systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
