Job Summary
Mortgage Loan Processor III role based in Fort Walton Beach, FL responsible for managing a high-volume pipeline of 20–30 loan files and 3–5 originators, ordering documents to meet investor requirements, verifying income/assets, tracking documents in Encompass, addressing discrepancies within 24–48 hours, preparing files for underwriting, clearing conditions, ensuring closing documentation is complete, and coordinating with originators, underwriters, and closing teams to meet contract deadlines and rate-lock expirations; requires strong knowledge of FHA/VA/conventional guidelines, compliance, and excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loan processing
- Extensive knowledge of VA and FHA loan processing and experience with multiple investors
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment
- Strong understanding of mortgage guidelines and loan flow from start to close
- Experience with Encompass loan processing system (preferred)
- NMLS registration may be required for some states under SAFÉ Act (as applicable)
- Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with borrowers, Realtors, title companies, and underwriters
