Job Summary
Develop and maintain a robust mortgage loan pipeline by proactively generating applications and managing relationships with clients, realtors, builders, and referral partners. Educate borrowers on available loan products and qualification criteria, guide them through the mortgage process, and communicate regulatory requirements. Present to clients in public and professional settings, negotiate loan rates and terms, lock loans as appropriate, and ensure timely processing while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to credit union values while delivering personalized solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to listen and respond to customers’ needs
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current lending guidelines and regulations
- Complete pre-employment screening including education verification, background check, credit check
