Job Summary
Originate portfolio loans and secondary market conventional, FHA, VA, and RD loans compliant with investor requirements. Provide expert mortgage advice to borrowers, stay current on underwriting policies, developments in mortgage laws, and maintain referral networks. Manage loan pipelines in coordination with Processors, Underwriters, and Closers. Requires taking complete applications, collecting necessary documentation, and informing applicants of closing costs. The position demands excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office and mortgage processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 years of sales experience
- 2+ years of Mortgage origination experience preferred
- National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008
- Knowledge of all Mortgage laws, procedures, rules, regulations
- Ability to travel if required
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to interpret documents and operate related equipment
