Job Summary
Develop referral contacts with realtors, builders, and professionals while maintaining knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company policies and loan products. Complete Fannie Mae form 1003 applications on the laptop, collect applicant documentation, and deliver loan packages within management-set time frames. Manage the pipeline for originated loans through closing, communicate progress updates to branches and applicants, and complete required management reports. Follow defined escalation protocols for exceptions and consistently identify, assess, and report risks within the bank's risk appetite. Requires two years of mortgage lending experience, an established book of local referral sources, and existing mortgage sales of $1 million per month.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines
- Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures
- Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending
- Two years of mortgage lending experience
- Established book of local referral sources
- Existing mortgage sales of $1 million per month
- S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
