Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for soliciting residential first mortgages, interviewing loan applicants, making credit decisions, and developing referral contacts within the bank region. Essential duties include analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness, maintaining knowledge of loan products and processing procedures, handling referrals, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates should possess broad knowledge in related fields, effective communication skills, and critical thinking abilities, along with S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
- S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
