Job Summary
Originate residential mortgage loans by conducting borrower interviews, evaluating financial documents, and educating clients on available products and procedures. Submit complete applications to the processing team, maintain accurate records in the loan origination system, and ensure timely follow-up with processors and underwriters. Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate smooth loan closings while meeting established productivity and quality goals. Maintain knowledge of current lending policies, compliance standards, and industry trends. This role supports Texana Bank's mission to bring honesty back to banking across four East Texas branches and two Arkansas locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NMLS license as required by state and federal regulations
Desired Qualifications
- college coursework or degree
- Previous experience in mortgage lending or financial services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office tool
