Job Summary
Mortgage Loan Officer responsibilities include soliciting new mortgage business from members and realtor clients, originating purchase and refinance loans, advising customers on product options, and assisting processing and underwriting teams. The role requires building and maintaining referral networks, determining loan pricing, and helping clients secure rate locks while demonstrating strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills related to mortgage loan programs (Conv, FHA, VA, Jumbo) and creditworthiness. Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and ability to collaborate with Loan Committee for approvals are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS loan originator license is required
- 3 years mortgage industry experience preferably
- Experience with mortgage loan programs (Conv, FHA, VA, Jumbo)
- Ability to evaluate loan applications and communicate clearly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
