Job Summary
Develop new and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business using consultative selling techniques. Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products, then provide excellent customer service from approval through closing. Secure and verify all information required for underwriting by working closely with loan origination sources, while advising customers on the completion of loan applications and maintaining client relationships. Requires one or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, an NMLS license, and knowledge of mortgage procedures and underwriting guidelines. This role supports Simply the Best customer service within the retail banking division.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience
- NMLS license
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Pipeline and book of business
- Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending and portfolio programs)
- Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- PC - Internet skill
