Job Summary
Provide guidance to members on loan products and rates while managing mortgage loan origination and processing. Conduct loan analysis and underwriting preparation, then coordinate loan documentation, closing, and servicing. Ensure regulatory compliance and licensing requirements are met throughout the home financing process for first-time buyers, refinancing, or renovation projects. Establish trust and communicate effectively to help members determine the best options for their unique goals. Prior experience in a Credit Union is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to establish trust, communicate effectively, and provide exceptional service to members throughout the mortgage process
- Strong financial analysis and decision-making skills
- Understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, secondary market requirements, interest rates, escrow accounts, and loan servicing processes
- Skill in identifying issues, resolving documentation deficiencies, and guiding members through complex lending situations
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, disclosure requirements, and NMLS licensing standards
