Job Summary
Mortgage Loan Officer responsible for originating mortgage loans in compliance with company policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include interviewing applicants, pre-qualification, application processing, and maintaining referral business. The ideal candidate must have an active NMLS#, a minimum of 1-year experience with various loan types, a strong sales record, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Additional skills include detail orientation and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS#
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Currently possess sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High degree of personal integrity
- Self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass origination software
