Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating mortgage loans in accordance with company and regulatory policies. Key duties include providing service to customers, completing loan applications, maintaining referral business, quoting interest rates, managing loan pipelines, and mentoring other loan officers. Ideal candidates must have an active NMLS#, one year experience with VA, FHA, Conventional, and VHDA loans, as well as strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS#
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Possess sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High degree of personal integrity
- Self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass origination software
