Job Summary
Originates mortgage loans in compliance with company and regulatory policies, serving applicants seeking home loans. Duties include interviewing customers, completing applications, maintaining referral sources, quoting interest rates, utilizing automated underwriting systems, and communicating loan statuses. Requires at least 1-year experience in mortgage origination, an active NMLS#, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a proven sales record.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS#
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- A proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Currently possess sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High degree of personal integrity
- Self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass origination software
