Mortgage Loan Officer

Job Summary
Primarily responsible for originating mortgage loans in compliance with company and regulatory policy. Responsibilities include interviewing and pre-qualifying applicants, gathering documentation, reviewing regulatory disclosures, maintaining referral relationships, quoting interest rates, and managing loan pipelines. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a minimum of 1-year experience in loan origination, and an active NMLS number. Additional duties include mentoring other Loan Officers and participating in community outreach functions.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS#
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Current sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High degree of personal integrity
- Self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass origination software
