Job Summary
Conduct outside prospecting and networking with local Realtors, attorneys, and builders to build referral sources. Meet with customers, interview applicants, complete applications, and collect supporting documentation while explaining mortgage products and assuring bank profitability. Perform credit analyses, outline loan terms, resolve conditions, and communicate with underwriting and other branches. Cross sell deposit accounts, commercial loans, and investment services. Oversee community lending events and civic functions to enhance the bank's image.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 to 6 years' experience in mortgage lending
- Customer Service oriented
- effective communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of loan products
- Knowledge and understanding of forms
- Knowledge and understanding of documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance issues
- Knowledge and understanding of timeliness of mortgage loan processing
- Knowledge and understanding of the loan origination function
- Knowledge and understanding of secondary market underwriting
- Registration with the NMLS system
