Job Summary
Originates residential mortgage loans by guiding members through applications from inquiry to closing, analyzing credit profiles and documentation to assess risk and repayment ability. Navigates loan documents, ensures regulatory compliance, and facilitates closings while educating clients on product options and eligibility. Builds relationships with real estate agents and builders to cross-sell services and promote lending programs within the community. Maintains current knowledge of market trends and product offerings to meet member financial needs. Achieves assigned loan production goals and resolves inquiries within established timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of similar or related mortgage lending experience
- A two-year college degree
- completion of a specialized certification or licensing
- completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors
- job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program
- Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing member and personal services

- Working knowledge of basic computer skills and applications including email and word processing functions
- Use/operate a computer keyboard and 10-key calculator by touch
- Attention to detail and entering data accurately

- Must be able to exert up to 30 lbs. of force to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
