Job Summary
Evaluate loan applications to determine eligibility based on financial status, credit history, and property evaluations. Assist clients in selecting appropriate mortgage products and guide them through the application process from pre-approval to closing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Massachusetts mortgage lending laws and ensure all required documents are collected and submitted timely. Work with underwriting and closing departments to ensure smooth loan processing while building strong relationships with clients and industry professionals. Provide clear information regarding loan terms and costs. Newly licensed candidates are welcome to apply with mentorship and training available.
Required Qualifications
- MLO license in the state of MA
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of mortgage products, loan origination process, and Massachusetts state regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in mortgage loan software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Licensed by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) or ability to obtain licensure
