Job Summary
This position is responsible for originating mortgage loans in compliance with company and regulatory policies. Key responsibilities include interviewing applicants, completing applications, maintaining and generating referral business, quoting interest rates, managing the loan pipeline, and ensuring accurate communication with customers. Success in this role requires at least 1-year experience with various loan types, strong sales ability, and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS#
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High degree of personal integrity
- Self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass origination software
