Job Summary
Interview mortgage loan applicants, assist members with completing applications, and collate financial data to evaluate Character, Collateral, Capacity, and Credit. Calculate debt-to-income ratios and recommend loan pricing, terms, and approval or denial decisions based on individual circumstances. Prepare accurate loan documentation for underwriting, manage the closing process, and notify applicants of decisions. Visit community contacts to promote products, solicit new business, and network to drive lending growth. Perform assigned prospect and delinquency calls to meet goals. This role requires frequent driving, transportation access, and adherence to all credit union policies and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Have access to transportation on demand to be able to travel to client and vendor appointments out of office as needed
- This position may include frequent driving
- a driving record review is required
Desired Qualifications
- College Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Finance
- Previous consumer lending experience at Marine Credit Union
- Prior experience gathering data, analyzing customer financial information, and making financial product recommendations
- Previous business development/networking experience
- Previous Mortgage/Consumer Lending, Banking, or Sales experience
- Experience building networks of community/industry contacts to support business goals
- Experience working in a face-to-face customer service/sales environment
- A record of success in meeting set, external business goals
