Job Summary
Solicit first mortgage loans by visiting clients, informing them of underwriting guidelines and government regulations, and assisting applicants with disclosures. Complete loan applications and pre-processing functions, entering data into systems, ordering credit reports, and scheduling appointments. Provide consistent follow-up with borrowers and agents, communicate approvals or denials, and respond to inquiries regarding loan status. Distribute approved marketing materials and actively participate in local business development activities as directed.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years related mortgage or similar sales experience or equivalent
- Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, policies, compliance, and procedures
- High level of proficiency with mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
