Job Summary
Responsible for the origination of Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans, the sales and promotion of Spirit Mortgage, and the development and expansion of the First United Bank brand in West Texas communities. Establishes and maintains client referral relationships with realtors, builders, and developers. Makes regular sales calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business. Communicates with all parties involved in the loan process from application to closing. Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market and regulatory changes. Participates in specific training and complies with all bank policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of mortgage lending experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attentive and able to retain information
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter and able to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field (Preferred)
- Proficient in mortgage software applications such as origination software, DU/LPA, and other vendor software
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
