Job Summary
Collect required documentation from Mortgage Loan Originators and members during the loan application process to support underwriting. Prepare, analyze, and submit complete files to the PFCU underwriting department and secondary market, while reviewing appraisals for accuracy and clearing underwriting conditions to ensure uninterrupted member experience. Maintain thorough knowledge of lending policies, guidelines, interest rates, and secondary market programs to assist with rate and product inquiries. Adhere to PFCU's service standards, maintain confidentiality of member information, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Completion of specialized courses conducted by vendors
- One year to three years of similar or related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, members, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Capability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations
- Ability to register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements
