Job Summary
Collect required documentation from Mortgage Loan Originators and members during the loan application process for underwriting. Prepare, analyze, and submit complete files to PFCU underwriting and secondary market underwriting, reviewing approved files for exceptions. Verify submission packages for various lending authorities and review appraisals for accuracy before underwriting approval. Assist with mortgage rate and product inquiries while ensuring all underwriting conditions are cleared to maintain uninterrupted member experience. Maintain thorough knowledge of lending policies, guidelines, interest rates, and the secondary market programs available to members. Perform mortgage servicing functions as needed and adhere to PFCU's Service Standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Completion of specialized courses conducted by vendors
- One year to three years of similar or related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, members, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Capability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations
- Ability to register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements
