Job Summary
Mortgage Closer responsible for reviewing loan packages, scheduling closings, and preparation of loan closing documents; ensures compliance with RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending Practices; communicates with title company and wires final figures; manages closing disclosures and closing packages, resolves post-closing issues, and maintains a timely, accurate closing process with strong attention to detail and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years loan closing/funding experience in residential mortgage
- Working knowledge of RESPA disclosures, FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Works well with others
- Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems
- Working knowledge of Encompass preferred
