Job Summary
Develop relationships with referral partners such as realtors, builders, attorneys, and CPAs to solicit business and secure residential mortgage loans. Analyze prospect income, assets, and liabilities to advise clients on appropriate mortgage products and services, then follow up to collect necessary information for processing and underwriting. Conduct site visits when needed, assist borrowers in qualifying for financing, and consistently achieve volume and unit production targets. Actively cross-sell bank products, provide support at sponsored events, and maintain strict adherence to state, federal, and internal compliance regulations. Occasional travel is required for training, team meetings, and client interactions within the market.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain NMLS State License or Federal NMLS Registration
- 1+ years' experience in real estate and/or mortgage
- Strong entrepreneurial and business development/sales experience/skills
- Knowledge of FHA, FNMA and FHLMS underwriting guidelines
- Knowledge of mortgage compliance regulations
- Business acumen and judgment- bank mortgage products, policies, and procedures
- Needs analysis skills - analyzing information regarding customer income/debts, etc
- Interpersonal/Persuasive/Influencing and negotiation skills
- Must adhere to pertinent state and federal laws and regulations, Company's Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements
- willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed
- May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers
