Job Summary
Morning Shift Security Guard responsible for providing security detail per post orders at a McLean, VA location. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, handling special assignments, monitoring cameras and equipment, and maintaining knowledge of emergency policies and procedures. Must maintain a professional image, deliver strong customer service, communicate effectively, report incidents and activity through required reports, and stay current with post orders and safety/loss-prevention processes. Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to varying post assignments is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Be honest, alert and well-disciplined as the custodians of employee and customer property and safety
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to be a hands-on, results oriented employee, handling multiple priorities
- Ability to facilitate progressive change, work as part of a team and follow directions
- Work with a sense of urgency
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by the customer / market
- Report to post in full uniform
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment as per post orders
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports and all relevant reports
