Job Summary
Lead the Morning Newsroom editorial content and strategy for 9NEWS Mornings in Denver; supervise producers, writers, anchors, and MSJs; own the editorial vision to deliver accurate, engaging, and locally relevant morning content across on-air and digital platforms. Drive breaking news and weather coverage, direct fast-paced decision-making during live broadcasts, and collaborate with digital teams to enhance multi-platform storytelling. Mentor staff, lead daily editorial meetings, and evolve show format and viewer experience with data-driven pacing and innovative storytelling. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, or related field; 5+ years in broadcast news with leadership experience; proficiency with ENPS and digital CMS tools; Denver-based early-morning shift (3:00 AM – 11:00 AM). Salary $80k-$95k; relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, or a related field
