Job Summary
The Morning (AM) Executive Producer is responsible for overseeing news content ensuring fairness, balance, and accuracy while producing daily newscasts and directing special programming. This role supervises producers and reporters, reviews scripts, and manages the newsroom during breaking news. Key responsibilities include ensuring that local communities are informed through relevant news, collaborating with News Directors to create special segments, and planning upcoming newscasts. Candidates should have a background in television news production with a strong commitment to journalistic standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience producing in a television news environment or equivalent
- Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Experience managing breaking news and meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
- Strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics
- Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating
