Job Summary
Lead daily cafeteria operations at Morehouse Elementary School, ensuring USDA and LDOE compliance and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals. Responsibilities include menu planning, food safety/HACCP adherence, inventory and cost control, supervising and training cafeteria staff, maintaining records and meal counts, and collaborating with district nutrition staff to ensure audits and regulatory compliance while maintaining a safe, student-centered cafeteria environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor degree preferred)
- Experience in food service or cafeteria management
- Knowledge of USDA School Nutrition Programs
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to manage staff, inventory, and records
- Proficiency with food service equipment and POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
