Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist needed in New Jersey to provide in-home and center-based weekly therapeutic services for youth. Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, Telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; conducting bio-psycho-social assessments when needed; delivering coping, social skills, anger management, and risk-reduction strategies; supporting decision-making for youth and caregivers; collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team; completing intake, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timeframes; attending monthly meetings and maintaining clinical documentation; willingness to train for bio-psycho-social assessments. Requires a master’s degree in a relevant field, active NJ license, trauma counseling and crisis intervention training, post-internship clinical experience with youth, familiarity with DSM-V, and ability to work 6-10 hours weekly after-school; must have a NJ driver’s license, pass background checks and drug screening, and be authorized to work in the U.S. without H-1B sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); reciprocity with out-of-state licenses considered
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment plans, treatment goals, progress notes, initial assessments
- Knowledge of CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Focused approaches
- Ability to use the DSM-V for assessments and diagnoses
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12 noon - 8 pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Minimum caseload of 2-3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience a plus
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
