Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional Montessori activities for 3–5 year-olds in Lakeland, overseeing classroom instruction, using Bezos Academy curriculum, and collaborating with assistants and families. Responsibilities include creating an engaging Montessori environment, employing assessment tools to monitor student progress, maintaining records, communicating with families, supporting assistant teachers, and participating in professional development. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of Montessori Primary Lead Teacher experience in lieu of a 4-year degree)
- Two or more years of experience as a lead teacher or guide, teaching children from infancy through third grade
- Demonstrated primary Montessori knowledge (ages 3-6)
- Ability to meet credentialing criteria for lead early childhood teachers in Florida
- Ability to meet training and eligibility requirements of Florida including background checks and TB tests
- Experience monitoring and maintaining progress records of individual students
- Ability to supervise and communicate with young children safely (lift 40 lbs)
