Job Summary
Monitoring Technician on the MCK CVS & Pulmonary Unit responsible for continuous monitoring of patients using the monitoring platform, maintaining visual and/or audio observation, and promptly alerting clinical staff as needed. Provides basic patient care, documents vital signs and clinical data, may transcribe physician orders, and serves as a resource for equipment management and troubleshooting. Maintains accurate patient records, communicates with patients and staff to ensure safety, and supports unit operations. Shift is primarily nights (6pm-6am) with rotating weekends/holidays (12-hour shifts); may include occasional day shifts. Must work effectively in a team, uphold confidentiality, and comply with CMS, Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Less than 1 year previous experience as Patient Care Technician or Certified Nurse Assistant (preferred)
- Minimum Age 16
