Job Summary
Monitoring Intern at WFP will support the Regional Monitoring Advisor with data integration and reporting through analysis and dashboards. Deliverables include designing at least three monitoring dashboards for different projects/COs, contributing to a regional trend analysis dashboard, and archiving/organizing monitoring datasets with metadata. The role involves performing data quality checks, coordinating cleaning/standardization of the Monitoring Regional Library, and assisting with data interpretation to inform CO needs. Working arrangement is in person in Cairo, Egypt, for a duration of 3–12 months, with start ASAP. The candidate should have strong English proficiency (and additional UN languages as an asset), proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau is desirable). The assignment offers learning opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to WFP operations, with no financial compensation provided by WFP (alternative funding encouraged).
Required Qualifications
- Be a Master’s student or a graduate Currently enrolled within a graduate programme or a recent graduate from a graduate programme (within six months prior to the application)
- Preferred areas of study include Public and Social Policy, Development Studies, International Relations, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Public Policy, from a recognized university
