Job Summary
Design and implement a robust MEAL system for the WeExplore Project in Uganda, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and use for evidence-based decision-making; provide strategic advisory support, strengthen partner capacity, and promote a results-oriented learning culture to enhance project performance, accountability, and sustainable tourism outcomes; responsibilities include developing and managing monitoring tools, leading data collection and reporting, offering insights for adaptive management, and fostering knowledge sharing with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Tourism Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, including at least 3 years in data collection, analysis, and evaluation methodologies, with proven experience in capacity building or training
- Strong knowledge of results-based management, data collection and evaluation methods, and proficiency in digital data tools and software such as Power BI, SPSS, STATA, KoboToolbox or similar
- Excellent ability to analyze complex data, generate insights, and produce high-quality reports to support decision-making
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse partners, government stakeholders, and communities
- High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
