Job Summary
Monitor online platforms and digital channels in near real time to identify potential threats, hostile narratives, suspicious behavior, and other relevant security indicators. Build, refine, and maintain keyword queries, watchlists, dashboards, and alerting workflows using OSINT and monitoring tools. Review and triage findings quickly, identify what matters, and escalate urgent issues when needed. Conduct rapid initial assessments as well as deeper investigative work on incidents, actors, networks, and patterns. Produce clear alerts, summaries, reports, and recommendations for internal stakeholders. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support timely information sharing and operational awareness. Stay current on threat trends, platform changes, language shifts, and new tools relevant to community security monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a security, risk, fraud, intelligence, trust and safety, or monitoring role
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to distinguish credible threats from noise
- Familiarity with social media platforms, forums, messaging environments, and open web research
- 2 years of experience with OSINT tools and monitoring workflows
- Fluent in English with strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear operational reporting
- Comfort working in a fast-paced setting that may require responsiveness outside standard hours when needed
- Collaborative mindset, sound judgment, and strong sense of discretion
- Familiarity with databases, knowledge management, or structured research workflows
Desired Qualifications
- Basic technical ability in areas such as Python, SQL, automation, or scripting
- Familiarity with fringe platforms or dark web environments
