Job Summary
Oversee daily operations, equipment, and personnel for the Monitor Room under the Clinical Nurse Manager. Manage dysrhythmia monitoring equipment and ensure accurate data interpretation to identify unit requirements. Supervise at least five years of Monitor Technician experience while delivering customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence. Assess patient data to address age-specific care needs and solve operational problems within the 350-bed medical center.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalency
- Successful Completion of an approved dysrhythmia course or related experience
- At least five (5) years' experience as a Monitor Technician
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify the unit's requirements
- Possess the ability to problem solve
