Job Summary
Monitor electrocardiogram continuously, identify and interpret cardiac rhythms, and document arrhythmias while reporting significant changes to nursing staff. Maintain the Central Electrocardiogram (EKG) Telemetry Monitoring system for the Direct Observation Unit and support unit monitoring and evaluation processes to improve patient outcomes. Provide frontline electronic medical record order entry support for physicians, monitor EMR systems throughout the day, and assist with admission and discharge processes by ensuring physician progress notes are ready in charts. This part-time day shift role at Adventist Health Sierra Vista, a Level III NICU and trauma center, requires CPR/BLS certification and offers coastal living near San Luis Obispo.
Required Qualifications
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
