Job Summary
Monitor Technician/HUC on a per diem, variable-shift role supporting patient care through telemetry monitoring, rhythm recognition, and frontline communications. Responsibilities include receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit, monitoring telemetry for dysrhythmias, supporting care delivery to diverse patient groups, and collaborating with the Clinical Director and charge nurse to ensure optimal patient services. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with on-the-job rhythm identification training and an EKG telemetry competency assessment provided. Preferred candidates have high school graduation and vocational training in Health Unit Coordination and basic arrhythmia coursework, plus prior patient care and/or clerical experience in medical settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred
- One (1) year of patient care experience preferred
- One (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred
