Monitor Tech

Monitor patient information to determine baseline cardiac rhythm and record measurements, calculations, and interpretations of patient records every 6 hours and PRN. Analyze cardiac rhythms, check high and low alarm settings on every telemetry patient, and troubleshoot routine technical problems with the central monitoring system. Notify the Registered Nurse of rhythm changes or patient disconnection, follow escalation protocols, and coordinate telemetry initiation and discontinuation with nursing staff. Maintain current knowledge of cardiac rhythm analysis, protect patient confidentiality, and safeguard electronic equipment. Answers the telephone promptly, participates in performance improvement activities, and attends mandatory education requirements.
