Job Summary
Monitor Technician responsible for continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors to assess and document patient cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, communicate findings to the healthcare team, and ensure monitoring equipment is functional and properly configured. Responsibilities include interpreting rhythm strips, notifying licensed staff of rhythm changes, coordinating with nurses and physicians, troubleshooting equipment, managing lead placement and electrode application, and maintaining accurate documentation and equipment organization during shifts. Requires completion of a telemetry/EKG interpretation course, 0-2 years of related experience, and BCLS certification. Night shift, Knoxville, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period required
- 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
