Job Summary
Communicate clearly verbally, in writing, and via the patient call system while simultaneously observing and evaluating real-time cardiac and telemetry monitors. Examine heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors, noting irregular rhythms and tracking changes in heart rate. Ensure monitors function properly and manage unit secretarial activity by assembling and disassembling patient charts and transcribing orders. Use computers to support these tasks and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals under general supervision. This role reports to a supervisor or manager at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, where the team offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development.
