Job Summary
Telemetry Monitor Technician role providing indirect patient care within hospital policy; collects and reports telemetry data, communicates arrhythmias to RN/LPN/Physician, supports documentation accuracy, assists in patient care coordination, and participates in performance improvement. Demonstrates leadership, interprets rhythm strips, mentors new hires, supports cost control and regulatory compliance, and collaborates with physicians and other health care providers to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course or Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation class within 45 days of hire or transfer
- Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system
