Job Summary
Monitor shelter entrance and screen all persons and belongings entering the facility to prevent theft and ensure safety. Patrol premises, conduct room checks, and report violations of rules or unsafe conditions to clinical staff. Assist participants with meal preparation, medication administration, and program events while acting as a role model. Drive participants to service locations, manage vehicle maintenance, and maintain trip records if licensed. Maintain office housekeeping and answer telephones for clients and staff. Report all incidents, theft, or unauthorized presence in daily logs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
- Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients
- Within 30 days of hire, must successfully complete VOALA safety training
- Services for this position must be provided on-site
- Must report to work on-site each day of active employment
